Position Title: Inventory Accountant
Department: Finance
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified, skilled, and professional Inventory Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to inventory, stock valuation, cost reporting, reconciliations, and financial documentation in accordance with hospital policies, accounting standards, and applicable UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate accounting records related to inventory transactions, stock valuation, purchases, consumption, and adjustments.
• Reconcile inventory accounts with finance records, purchase records, and system reports on a regular basis.
• Review inventory-related invoices, costing records, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and proper posting.
• Prepare monthly inventory reports, cost analysis, variance reports, and financial summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with finance, procurement, pharmacy, and store teams to ensure accurate financial recording of inventory movements.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory accounting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all financial and inventory-related records.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional certification or training in accounting, cost accounting, or inventory accounting is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, or finance.
• Experience in a hospital, healthcare, pharmacy, or medical supplies environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, cost reporting, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
