Job Title: Dermatologist – Cosmetics (Aesthetic Dermatology)

Location: Ain Al Khaleej Hospital, Al Ain, UAE

The Dermatologist – Cosmetics is responsible for providing comprehensive aesthetic dermatology services, including consultation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and the performance of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. The role focuses exclusively on cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology, ensuring safe, evidence-based, and high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

• Conduct comprehensive cosmetic consultations and aesthetic skin assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' aesthetic goals and clinical indications.
• Perform advanced cosmetic dermatology procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Botulinum Toxin (Botox) injections.
  • Dermal fillers.
  • Chemical peels.
  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy.
  • Mesotherapy.
  • Skin boosters.
  • Laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular lesions, acne scars, and hair removal.
  • Microneedling and radiofrequency microneedling.
  • Thread lifting (where credentialed and privileged).
  • Treatment of scars and pigmentation disorders using aesthetic procedures.
• Assess patient suitability for cosmetic procedures and ensure informed consent is obtained.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and manage follow-up care.
• Recognize and manage complications arising from cosmetic procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, DHA/DOH/MOHAP regulations (as applicable), infection prevention standards, and international best practices.
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, post-procedure care, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with nurses, laser therapists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive cosmetic care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards in all patient interactions.
• Keep current with advances in cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic technologies, and evidence-based practices.

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Master's Degree, MD, Arab Board, or equivalent specialization in Dermatology.
• Valid Specialist Dermatologist License or eligibility for licensure as required by UAE regulatory authorities.
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent, full-time experience exclusively in Cosmetic/Aesthetic Dermatology after obtaining specialist qualification.
• Extensive hands-on experience in injectable treatments, laser procedures, and non-surgical aesthetic procedures is mandatory.
• Certification and competency in cosmetic laser systems and aesthetic procedures are highly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Expert knowledge of cosmetic dermatology principles and aesthetic medicine.
• High proficiency in injectable and laser-based cosmetic procedures.
• Strong facial aesthetic assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication, consultation, and patient counseling abilities.
• Strong clinical judgment and complication management skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based medicine.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) skills.
