Position Title: Nurse Educator with Life Support Instructor
Department: Nursing Education / Training & Development
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified, skilled, and professional Nurse Educator with Life Support Instructor certification to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing education programs, clinical competency training, and life support courses in accordance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and applicable UAE healthcare regulations.
The role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support nursing staff development through structured training, coaching, competency assessment, and continuous professional education.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, and deliver nursing education programs, clinical training sessions, and competency-based learning activities.
• Conduct life support training programs, including BLS and other approved life support courses, in accordance with recognized training standards.
• Assess nursing staff competencies and identify individual and departmental learning needs.
• Support the orientation and induction of newly joined nursing staff in line with hospital policies and clinical standards.
• Develop and update training materials, presentations, competency checklists, and education records.
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership, Quality, Infection Control, and Clinical Departments to support patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate records of attendance, certification, competency assessment, and staff development activities.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice, safe patient care, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to nursing staff to improve clinical performance and professional practice.
• Support internal and external audits by providing training records and competency documentation when required.
• Ensure all education and training activities comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Healthcare Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid nursing license from DOH / DHA / MOH or eligibility for UAE licensure, where applicable.
• Valid Life Support Instructor certification is required.
• BLS Instructor certification is required; ACLS and/or PALS Instructor certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience in a recognized hospital or healthcare environment.
• Previous experience in nursing education, clinical training, competency assessment, or staff development is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, clinical standards, and nursing competency frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in English are required; Arabic communication skills are highly preferred.
• Experience working in a multicultural healthcare environment is an advantage.
