Introduction

Dr. Redwan Kalash is a Specialist in Otolaryngology with over 28 years of postgraduate experience, including more than 18 years dedicated exclusively to Laryngology. He has been practicing in the UAE since 2015 and previously served in leading medical institutions across Syria and Kuwait.

He holds a Master’s degree in Otolaryngology from Damascus University and completed a Fellowship in Laryngology under the mentorship of Dr. James P. Thomas (USA). Alongside his clinical career, Dr. Kalash has spent over a decade in academic teaching, training future generations of ENT specialists.

His core area of expertise is the diagnosis and management of voice and swallowing disorders, including advanced office-based procedures and phonosurgical interventions.

Dr. Kalash has held visiting consultant roles in leading hospitals across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain, and has contributed significantly to regional and international conferences such as ME-OTO, IFOS, EROC, and the European ORL-HNS Congress. He has also conducted live surgical workshops, trained ENT specialists in Stroboscopy and FEES, and published academic works, including a chapter on hoarseness in the Arabic Medical Encyclopedia.
